PWA World Cup held in the northern part of Germany on the island ”Sylt” was another year a great success with weather conditions are that were fired up with big waves and big winds, bringing big action to the island of Sylt.
The event took place from the 27th of September until the 7th of October.
I started my travel with a 9hour flight from my island Bonaire to Amsterdam(Holland), and met up with friend & World Cup competitor Davy Scheffers and drove our journey to Sylt Germany. We arrived a day early and already scored big winds and waves and got a taste for the World Cup. Next day we had the registration and the Wave discipline was scheduled to do first due good wind direction & waves. The wind and waves conditions we’re looking awesome and the more I watched the wave go on the water the more I couldn’t wait for them to start our freestyle fleet.
The single elimination started and I fought my way threw some heat and got stopped on the 9th place, and was hoping to fight my was hard up within the double elimination.
The double elimination did not go well for me due some unlucky troubles with my boom and getting caught up in the shorebreak, finishing up 17th place at the PWA Windsurf World Cup Sylt
Still stoked about the awesome wind and wave conditions we got to score for the world cup and all the action!
See you all next year PWA World Cup in Sylt(Germany) !! Expect a hard come back next year!
